Greetings, All -
Welcome to Raider Nation.
The Raiders coaching staff is very excited for our Spring season and looks forward to welcoming your athletes to the team.
Here at the Raiders camp, we like to have fun while playing football. The practices are structured so our players have fun while learning proper football skills at each position. We also think winning is fun. That is sometimes considered an unpopular statement, but it's true. We play for the love of the game, part of that love is driven by the thrill of victory. So yeah, we will have our fun, and hopefully, win some football games in the process.
The goal for each game is for each player to have the opportunity to touch the ball at least twice. This could be a running play or targeting them with a pass. There is a chance that not everyone will have even touches, it happens...
The Raiders are built on a few fundamental rules, we wanted to share them with you so our parents and players understand the expectations of playing on our team.
Respect - We respect our teammates and our opponents. Putting down another player for any reason will not be tolerated. Showing a lack of respect will impact a player's time on the field.
Hard Work - All players have different athletic abilities and develop at a different pace. We don't expect everyone to be at the same level, but we do expect everyone to give every drill and play their absolute best effort.
Listening - The Raiders operate as a team. No one person can command more attention than anyone else. Not listening slows down the practice, causes mistakes in-game, and spoils other players' fun. It's not fair, it's not cool, and it's not tolerated. Players that choose to not listen or cause a distraction will have their playing time impacted.
Mark DuBrock, will be working on our coaching staff this season. We are very fortunate to have Mark as he brings passion and a true love of football to our practices and games.
If your child has any issues that the Coaching Staff should be made aware of please let us know. Physical limitations, learning disabilities, anything that will be helpful for us to better coach your athlete is useful information.
